The Double Blood Need in Romania – 5 rock bands mobilize rockers to donate
The "Romania has rocker blood" campaign was initiated by Răzvan Exarhu, the creator of Morning Glory, from ROCK FM, in partnership with the Blood Transfusion Center Bucharest and Donorium, in the context of the fact that the need for blood is double in our country as it is currently harvested.
Romania places the last few places on the number of blood donors in Europe: only 1.7% of Romanians donate blood, almost 10 times less than the Danes, 9 times less than the British and 7 times less than the Dutch.
In addition, in the first trimester of 2019, at the Blood Transfusion Center in Bucharest, there were over 1,100 fewer donors than in the same period in 2018, and the current blood requirement is twice as high as is normally harvested.
5 rock bands from Romania joined the campaign "Romania has rocker blood", launching rock cover for the most popular Romanian rockers, to mobilize people to donate blood through the power of music.
Until now, Trooper has released a cover rock after the song "I'm Waiting to Come", played by Mirabela Dauer (CLIP AICI), and Byron offered a rock infusion to "I Look So I Want to Die" by Gica Petrescu CLIP HERE). Nighlosers also released a cover rock after the famous song "If You Leave", played by Cătălin Crişan. Two other rock bands – Vita de Vie and COMA – are going to reinterpret rock songs in rock variations to mobilize the community of rock lovers (and not only) to donate blood.
