Cancer is a consequence of abnormal and uncontrolled multiplication of one or more cells. Often, in the first stage, the cancer does not have obvious symptoms, these occur when the disease is in Stage II or III. Here are some symptoms that indicate a cancer and which are often ignored.
1 Weight loss
When a person suddenly fails without having a special diet, medical analysis is needed to determine the cause of the weight loss. Weight loss may be a symptom of a type of gastrointestinal cancer, but can also be caused by hyperthyroidism, tuberculosis or HIV.
2 Appearance of nodules
Swelling in any part of the body can be caused by cancer. But not every node, especially those on the breast, are necessarily malignant tumors. Thus, unlike benign breast tumors, malignant tumors are not firmly delineated and give changes in skin texture (like "orange peel"). Also, a swelling in the throat area may indicate a thyroid cancer.
3 Nausea or coughing
Classical symptoms of viral infections, hoarseness and cough that do not heal after treatment may indicate the presence of a pharyngeal or lung cancer. When these are accompanied by persistent neck pain, difficulty in swallowing food, and traces of blood in sputum, it is imperative to visit a doctor.
4 Abnormal bleeding
Bleeding between menstruation or menopause is an alarm signal, as it may indicate the presence of cancers such as endometrial or ovarian cancers. In cervical cancer vaginal bleeding may occur after sexual intercourse, in which case menstra may be more abundant than usual.
5 Digestive Disorders
Bloating, indigestion and abdominal pain are some of the symptoms of ovarian cancer. Also abdominal pain as well as constipation, diarrhea and bloating are accompanied by pancreatic cancer. Gastric and colon cancers can cause diarrhea, constipation, and a blood stool.
6 Changes of moles
Any change in the size, shape, color or consistency of a mole must be a sign of concern. The most dangerous type of skin cancer, melanoma can appear as a change in moles. Those moles with blurred edges and those with a diameter greater than 6 mm are suspect.
